New Pattern Alert: Falling Waters Shawl

Hello Everyone,

I’m so excited for this new shawl pattern that I’ve designed!!!

When I saw the new “Dotted Line” yarn that Lion Brand put out I instantly fell in love with it just from the pictures alone. I knew I had to get my hands on it right away and as soon as I did I knew it would be the perfect affordable yarn that looks hand dyed but without the hand dyed price.

Click here for my review on the yarn.

I knew I wanted to do a different shape for this shawl besides the traditional triangle so I went with a semi-circle design. This shape helps the shawl stay on your shoulders without you having to hold it on your shoulders to keep it in place.

This shawl would be perfect as a bridal shower gift to a friend as their “something blue” or to add to your wardrobe to give it a little oomph for those chilly days and nights. You can adjust the pattern to make it bigger (instructions included in the pattern).

I love the drape of this shawl.
The back view is just as awesome.

I’m proud that I designed a pattern for the summer. As a crocheter I normally only think of the fall/winter months when creating patterns because of that coziness you get from chunky hats, scarves and sweaters. I think I really have a winner here if I do say so myself.

Please tag me on my Instagram @joannascrochet using #fallingwatersshawl and on my Ravelry Shop (JoannasCrochet) if you make this shawl. I love seeing other makers put their own individual spin on patterns.
