Hello Maker’s,
Today we have another yarn review!!
I’m loving this blog series!! It gives me a chance to dive into new yarn and also some yarns that have been out for a while but maybe you’ve never purchased the yarn because you’re unsure how it will work up.
Here are the Specs:

So onto the review…
This yarn feels like absolute butter. That 10% cashmere (in my opinion) is what makes this yarn. I have tried different Knit Picks yarn in the past from dyeing my own yarn (click here to read blog post) to making hat and scarf sets to sell at markets. They have hits and misses but this yarn is a hit.

I chose this yarn for my soon to be released “Promenade Shawl” along with other Knit Picks yarn that I will be reviewing in later blog posts. I wanted my shawl to have drape to it and knew that I also didn’t want to break the bank and that the yarn also needed to be accessible to others that may buy my pattern. To me for the yardage, fiber content, and price is pretty reasonable at $8.99 per skein. You have the superwash merino wool and the cashmere which makes it super soft and then you have the nylon for durability.

I haven’t experienced any piling or splitting with this yarn. It’s perfect for knitted/crocheted hats, scarves, gloves and I think it would make an awesome sweater as well. It’s light weight yet it will keep you nice and warm. Oh and if you have any babyshower’s that you have coming up, this will make the softest baby sweater and hat sets. If you’re adventurous , it will make an awesome baby blanket as well.
I have my eye on a few of the other colorways they have and bonus with Knit Picks yarn, you never know when you can catch a sale. Some colorways are actually on sale now, click the link above to be taken to the page and see if any colorways catch your eye.
If you do get your hands on some of this yummy yarn please tag me on instagram @joannascrochet or comment down below and let me know how you like it.
Until next time,

How well does it handle washing? I’m experiencing felting with the capretta superwash yarn.

I personally didn’t experience any felting when working this yarn. Even though it says it’s machine washable I still hand wash all of my natural fiber yarns and lay flat to dry.
